How to Measure AND Choose Your Size
If you fall between sizes, either will work. Most people prefer to size down to reduce fabric overlap in the front and shorten the secondary strap. If your weight tends to fluctuate, sizing up is the better option.
DISC ALIGN can be worn either way. Keep in mind that when worn under clothing, the lumbar pad adds about 1.5 inches to your waist measurement, so if your pants already fit snugly, they may not close comfortably with the brace underneath.
VIEW SIZE GUIDEHOW TO POSITION THE BRACE
Position the belt with the flaps angled upward and the lumbar pad centered on your lower back. Wrap the belt just below your ribs, pull the flaps tight, and secure. If your belt has a secondary strap, thread it through the loop and fasten.
WATCH APPLICATION VIDEOPosition the belt with the flaps angled downward and the lumbar pad centered on your lower back. Wrap the belt 3–4 inches below your navel, lift your belly as you fasten to support its weight, then pull the flaps tight and secure. Use the secondary strap if included.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What if I have a spinal condition or anomaly?
The belt works by training the back to assume a neutral lumbar lordosis with the support of its anatomic lumbar pad. To be effective, your spine must be flexible enough to conform to the pad. If your spine is inflexible or has a structural deformity, the belt may feel uncomfortable or be less effective.
Can the belt cause harm if it doesn’t work for me?
No. The belt cannot injure you. The worst outcome is that it may not provide the support or relief you’re looking for.
How long can I wear the brace for?
The belt can be worn throughout the day as needed for support and training proper posture. Many users find benefit during daily activities, work, or exercise. It’s best to follow your provider’s guidance if you’re under medical care.
Are the braces washable?
Yes. The belt can be hand-washed in cold water with mild soap. Air dry completely before use. Avoid machine washing or high heat, as these can damage the materials.
